Mother’s Day Concert with St.Helen’s Concert Band and Way Barbershop Group

St Helens Concert band will play a selection of concert band pieces including waltzes, marches, light classics, and music from films and musicals. Wayfarers Chorus will sing selection of songs including traditional barbershop and more modern Beatles hits.

The Swingshift Big Band concert

New to the Palm House last year, we welcome back the band, an 18 piece jazz orchestra which plays many varying styles of big band music, from Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Stan Kenton and Buddy Rich, to more modern arrangements from musicians such as Tom Kubis, Stan Kenton, Pat Metheney, and Gordon Goodwin. Saxophobia - Concert

Making a return visit to us, Saxophobia is a versatile 7 piece Saxophone ensemble made up from some of the North Wests finest saxophonists. They play a very wide variety of music to suit all tastes from Bach to jazz!
Director Phil Shotton will take the audience through the programme on a musical journey in his own dynamic style, with jokes and stories thrown in along the way. A polished and fun experience for all!

Jace Everett Concert

The Palm House is delighted to host the Liverpool leg of Jace Everett’s first UK tour. Fans of the cult Channel 4 series True Blood will know his Bad Things as the tone-setter over the credits. Devotees of American roots music will recognise the “born-again Texan” singer-songwriter as one the finest exponents of the genre, following in the footsteps of his heroes Willie Nelson and Waylon Jennings.

BBOctet Band - Concert

BBOctet bring the sounds of the cool 1950\'s west coast Californian jazz. With emphasis on the seminal Dave Pell Octet, and influenced by Shorty Rogers and the Birth Of The Cool. Members hail from St Helens and Leigh and are North West in attitude but Californian West Coast in ambition. The band will play the numbers you know with a touch more sunshine than you are used to!

John O’Connell and his Band

For one evening only, the Palm House is pleased to present one of Liverpool\'s most talented and much celebrated musicians John O\'Connell, who joins forces with his band to bring together an entrancing night of music. As co-founder of legendary Liverpool band Groundpig, O\'Connell over the past 27 years has had his name indelibly written in to the tapestry of Liverpool\'s music scene. Born and raised in the Everton area of the city, John\'s early influences were routed in acoustic, folk and classical guitar. Stefan Grossman, Bert Jansch, John Renbourn and Martin Carthy all inspired John and ignited his passion for music. Full bar available
