Mission and Aims
Our mission is to develop, promote and maintain Sefton Park Palm House as a beautiful and creative botanical space for Liverpool.
We do this by:
1. Generating income for self-sufficiency
Most of our income is raised through SPPHPT Trading Company Ltd., which gift aids its profit to the Trust to cover the costs of achieving our aims.
We raise money through:
- Mostly though hires of Sefton Park Palm House for private or corporate functions.
- Refreshment sales at Trust events
- Sales of cards, prints etc
The Trust raises additional monies through:
- Subscriptions to our Friends Scheme
- Donations from kind supporters
- Support from generous sponsors
- Grants for specific projects
2. Establishing a broad activity programme
An annual programme of 40-50 events including informal afternoon concerts, children’s events, plant or environment themed days and one-off projects with invited artists or performers.
3. Preserving the architecture and plants
We make an annual contribution to Liverpool City Council towards the maintenance of Sefton Park Palm House, to ensure the building and plants are well cared for and shown off at their best
