Legacies

If you are thinking of revising your Will, or making one for the first time, you could help to secure the future of Sefton Park Palm House. Legacies of all sizes are an increasingly important source of funds and will have a lasting and direct impact on our work for many years to come. To arrange a legacy is straightforward and inexpensive. A legacy can be left generally (when it will support all our activities, including our running costs and the contribution we make towards the maintenance of the building) or specifically to support our Events and Education programme. Remember all legacies provided to the Trust are free from inheritance tax, so your family will have less tax to pay.

How to include Sefton Park Palm House in your Will

If you are making or changing your Will to include a bequest to Sefton Park Palm House we recommend you seek advice from a solicitor or professional adviser, but the following wording is a guide:

I give to Sefton Park Palm House Preservation Trust, Sefton Park, Liverpool L167 1AP (Registered Charity Number 1059957) (a % share of the residue/ or/ the sum of £_) for its general purposes (or if you wish to specify Events and Education “for the purposes of Events and Education activities”). I further direct that the receipt of the Trust shall be a full and sufficient discharge for the said legacy.

Saying Thank You

We would be grateful if you could notify us if you decide to leave a legacy to the Trust so can show you our appreciation by sending you a thank you card and a token gift. When a legacy passes to the Trust we mark this with a dedication in our Donor’s book.
